Well, I got the email today, to say there was a place reserved for me in the “Dormitory Oberwiesenfeld”, as an Erasmus student at the LMU, Munich. Quite what got lost in translation, I’m not sure, as it turns out that this dormitory is actually a block of apartments – CAD models are here. I’m [...] Well, it’s been a while… Colm’s been & gone from Apachecon (bringing me home a cute lil BSD Daemon, as I already have a couple of Tuxen), the talk apparently went well, and he appears to have met a whole host of interesting people It wasn’t all work for me, while Colm was away [...] I came across a new word the other day. Not that that’s anything unusual – it happens on a fairly regular basis. I like new words =) It was a small word, with a fairly simple meaning. But it amazed me that I could just look at this word – a word I’d never seen [...] I met Claire TD and her young man on the bus today too… They got engaged on Thursday – my warmest congratulations! Love really, really does suit Claire – it took me several seconds staring at her before I recognised her enough to start walking toward her, and it was only when she recognised me [...] “Be polite, be helpful” – what more could a girl (or anyone!) want… Chix, you rock. Muchly. Go see it. It starts off a bit rough – the first couple of minutes are definitely missable. But once we get into the story – Bruce’s bat-thing, his parents’ death, his childhood – it’s just heartwrenching. It’s a fantastic tale, but plenty of fight-scenes and [...] Well, it was going to be a very bouncy & bright post, about Colm’s latest shopping spree… Instead, it’s a rather sedate, shocked post. We went out to Dundrum last night, ostensibly for food shopping… We came home with some food, a Playstation2 (silver), two games (The Simpsons Hit & Run, and Harry Potter Quidditch), and [...] Yay! Met up with Diane & SeanOS last night, went for a pancake in the new Lemon… Yummy, but not as yummy as Saturday pancakes, and *way* more pricey! Ah well, I wanted to try it out, and no one had any better ideas =) SeanOS had to get a bus then, so Diane & I went [...] Dad’s finally in Irish waters =) WELCOME HOME DAD!!! |
